Becoming a People of Grace and Welcome to All.

This statement by one stream of our American counterparts could well be embraced by us here at Wembley Downs.

  1. When I read the text and watched the video of GA1327 I felt immensely welcomed, proud and thankful to be a member of a Welcoming Fellowship under the Lordship of Jesus. It seemed to me that these Resolutions by the Disciples of Christ represent an example of the spirit of Luke’s gospel, and of John 3.16, where ‘whosoever’ lists no exceptions. And this Spirit of Christ offers healing, unification, and community to our fragmented world and especially to those feeling alienated, shunned, disenfranchised and marginalised. Thank you for your inspirational work.

  2. Thanks for the comment, Denis. Some things need to be explicitly stated as well as practiced where there is a dominant culture of exclusion.
